Martin Cartledge was born in West Wycombe in
Buckinghamshire in 1973. Martin attended the Royal Grammar School in High
Wycombe leaving with various qualifications including both a "GCSE" and "A"
level in art and the history of art.
Martin now works in London for a Marketing company. Now in the corporate
design field , Martin has never lost his desire for oil painting and now
works from his small studio in Chorleywood in Hertfordshire. Martin's main
influences include:
- Wassily Kandinsky
- Victor Pasmore
- Piet Mondrian
- Jackson Pollock
